I am married to Denise (Shaver) Kimbrough LPN at Morristown Heart Consultants. We have 3 kids, Misty, Annie & Megan and 1 son-in-law Matt Henry. I have 3 grandchildren, Josh, Brandon & Alexandra (Alex) Henry. I am blessed by having them all. There is nothing more important in life as these. While my clients are important to me family comes first. 

  Recently my wife and me went to New York to The Morning Show with Mike & Juliet. I want to thank all those on the show, the limo drivers, hotel and the great people of New York for their hospitality. A special thanks to Liz & Sue for taking care of us and everything. Just before that we had the pleasure of being interviewed by Newsweek and met two of their photographers Ethan Hill and his associate Eric, also very nice people. A big thanks goes to Dr Jeffery Long M.D.  

  I was born here in White Pine, Tennessee which is in Jefferson County and grew up here. I graduated from Jefferson County High School in 1978. I grew up on a farm that was a dairy farm when I was young and later turned into a beef farm along with tobacco. Growing up on a farm we built and maintained things ourselves, anybody growing up on a farm knows that you do carpentry to mechanic work. Farmers are the most versatile and smartest people I have or will ever meet in my lifetime.

   There is a lot about being green these days. It never occurred to me that we were and had always been "green", I thought we were just poor. Occasionally I have been called cheap. Totally wrong, cheap is cheap, thrifty is thrifty.     

I worked for an Electrician, Heat & Air and Insulation company from 1977 to1978 and again in 1982.

I worked at Berkline for a brief period.

Then worked in Masonry for about 2 years, now that's a job. Starve in the winter and work like a dog in the summer.

I worked in Insurance for a few months for Mutual Of Omaha in 1980.

I worked from 1980-1982 for Pet Dairy as a retail delivery driver until a lay-off. In 1983.

  I went to the Morristown State Area Vocational School for 2 1/2 years and graduated electronics class and during that time I went to work for UPS (reload), and Morristown Music Mart as the repair tech, eventually going to driving for UPS. I've been at UPS as a delivery driver until a shoulder surgery. During this time I also owned www.GKPet.com and farmed. Most people don't know my name even though that's my slogan, but most know my face.

   In 1982 I wanted my own house, and so we hired a contractor to put it into the dry and we done the rest. Later my wife and I added on doing ground up construction. Over the years I have bought and remolded a few houses but after getting into Real Estate I do not do that anymore. That is a personal issue for me. There is no way that I can find a buyer a great deal or a seller the most money if my own interest are represented, you can not serve 2 interests, mine and yours. I also do no construction work for anyone other than myself, except family and friends that need a hand. There are some little things I've omitted, but really shouldn't matter, this is just a "Reader's Digest Version", if they matter to you I'll be glad to tell you.

  We grow most of what we eat and I seldom eat out. My wife prepares meals from fresh or preserved foods at home. You will not see me eating out a great deal. When we grill out, we welcome anybody that wants to come, no alcohol is allowed. 

   I heavily believe if you have it or own it, you should know how to repair or build most if not everything. On that note, I know a few decent builders, not many. I built my own home and the barns I have, I do my own repair work ... ok, with Denise's help. Occasionally I do hire out a little. 

  I pick and chose, just as you do, the people I work with, money just ain't on the top of my list. I can assure you how much you made on earth is not one of the questions you will answer when you leave this place. Little different, but that's what makes life grand. I will not hound you to buy or sell, if you're old enough to do that you are old enough to know if you want to do that. I will not sell more than someone can afford, nor will I partake in crappy loans designed to get you into a house so you can lose it. There are entry level loans, but none, and I repeat none, worth being homeless in the future. This is a big step, and I do not take it lightly, neither should you.

   For those locally who wonder yes I have a Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma and yes I had a heart attack, both in 2005, and yes, the links to Newsweek & Fox News are me. I appreciate your worrying about me on that but as you see I'm not dieing with Cancer, I'm living with it. I do appreciate your prayers. I do not do conventional medicine, just herbs and supplements with good results, enough to impress doctors at Vanderbilt. It has also given me a new perspective to life and meaning. There is good in everything, you just gotta find it. In some ways it has made me a better person. I usually don't bring it up because it doesn't own me, but if you want to ask questions or discuss it I'm totally comfortable with it. For those who wonder if that was my wife with me on The Morning Show with Mike & Juliet on Fox news Network, yes it was. The Morning Show with Mike & Juliet - Newsweek - Thank you. 

I am a Real Estate agent (affiliate broker) at American Homes & Realty Inc in White Pine, Tennessee for 8 years. I am studying for my Brokers when I get a chance. Mostly however, this site is basically for those who know my name and look it up. That mostly happens in real estate and poultry and animal information as I have written several animal articles published around the world. If you think I know real estate, you should see me with animals. I worked for UPS for 23 years. I owned G&K Pet and still own G&K Farms. I collect and work on old cars but only for myself and help friends occasionally. I also have a farm, some alternative and some regular animals and birds. I also Webmaster for several sites. I am at the lest blunt and at the most honest.

  Selling Real-estate I try and stick to the areas I know the best, the Lakeway Area here in East Tennessee. Primarily the Jefferson, Hamblen, Cocke, Grainger and Hawkins counties. I do however do occasionally Sevier, Knox, Hancock, Claiborne, and Greene counties. I am a member of the Lakeway Area Association of Realtors and the Sevierville MLS (Great Smoky Mountain) Boards, and The Knox Area Association of Realtors (KAAR). Also I am a member of the National Association Of Realtors. In addition I am also a retired member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 519. I am member of Leadvale Baptist Church.

         The backgrounds are made by pictures my middle daughter Annie takes. Annie says she wants to be a Realtor one day, actually a broker. I make my own images many times from her photos and while my programming is old school it is effective and safe to use. I have my own server and host many other sites from it. Bragging, no, just stopping spam from companies that want to program, create or place advertising on my sites with them. I have just however created a board for local area businesses and related businesses to advertise for the benefit of people living or relocating here, it is free. Sorry but you have to be approved these days due to porn spammers. I do not collect any information from you except for the contact page and that is totally voluntary on your part. I also do not sell or distribute emails.

   So anyway, if your not looking for property in East Tennessee maybe I can still be of service. If your into animals check out the new board, over 500 articles are being transferred from the old board and more added by Glenda Heywood of the National Poultry News. Again, lately porn spammers have hit it hard, so you will have to be approved. These boards have protection from nasty words so kids can use them as well.
